This policy explains how Bettortainment Limited (“Bettortainment”, “we”, “us”) collects and uses personal data when you visit bettortainment.com or get in touch with us, and the rights you have over that data.
Who we are
This website is run by Bettortainment Limited, a company registered in England and Wales. We are the data controller for the personal data described in this policy. You can contact us about it at info@bettortainment.com.
What we collect
- Enquiries. When you use one of our enquiry or demo forms we collect what you enter: your name, company name, work email address, phone number if you give it, the service you are interested in and your message.
- Emails. If you email us, we keep the correspondence and the contact details in it.
- Technical data. Like any website, our hosting provider records basic technical information when pages are requested, such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you visited. This is used to run and protect the site.
We do not ask for, or knowingly collect, any special category (sensitive) personal data.
How we use it, and our legal basis
We use personal data only to:
- reply to your enquiry and arrange demos or meetings you ask for;
- communicate with you about our services in a business context;
- keep the website secure and working properly.
Our legal basis is our legitimate interest in responding to business enquiries and running a secure website. We do not sell your data, and we do not add you to marketing lists without your consent.
Who we share it with
We share personal data only with service providers that help us run the site and handle enquiries:
- Netlify, Inc. hosts this website and processes the enquiry form submissions, which are passed to our team by email.
- our email provider, which stores the enquiries and correspondence we receive.
These providers may only use the data to provide their services to us, and must protect it under data protection law.
International transfers
Some of these providers, including Netlify, may process data outside the UK. Where they do, the transfer is protected by safeguards recognised under UK data protection law, such as the UK International Data Transfer Addendum to the standard contractual clauses.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiries and related correspondence for up to 24 months after our last contact with you, unless we go on to work together, in which case we keep what we need for that relationship. Technical data is kept by our hosting provider for a limited period in line with its own retention policy.
Cookies
This website does not use cookies for analytics, advertising or tracking, and it does not set any cookies of its own. Our fonts are served from this site, not from a third party.
Where a page offers a video hosted on YouTube, nothing is loaded from YouTube until you press play. The video then plays from YouTube’s privacy-enhanced (youtube-nocookie.com) service, and YouTube’s own privacy policy applies to it.
You can block or delete cookies at any time in your browser settings. If we start using cookies that are not strictly necessary, we will update this section and ask for your consent first.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to:
- ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you;
- ask us to correct data that is wrong or incomplete;
- ask us to delete your data;
- object to, or ask us to restrict, how we use it;
- ask us to transfer it to you or another organisation.
To use any of these rights, email info@bettortainment.com. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk, though we would appreciate the chance to put things right first.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version is always on this page, with the date it was last updated at the top.
